Dr. Wesley is a double board-certified, child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist, who specializes in reproductive psychiatry and women’s mental health. She completed her psychiatry training at George Washington University, her medical training at the University of Connecticut, and her undergraduate studies at Yale University.

Dr. Wesley is thoughtful and compassionate. She appreciates the importance of understanding the experiences and goals of her patients. Dr. Wesley’s area of expertise is in counseling women about treatment options before, during, and after pregnancy. She takes a holistic approach to providing care to women who are struggling with a range of challenges: infertility, transitions in motherhood, anxiety and depression in pregnancy or the postpartum period. She also makes it a priority to support the whole family when it comes to mental health evaluation and treatment, particularly as mental health challenges can have a trickle-down effect onto other family members. Dr. Wesley works closely with children, teens and young adults that are struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD and transitional challenges.

During the course of her training, Dr. Wesley spearheaded an initiative to identify and treat women who are high-risk for postpartum depression at their children’s newborn physical appointment --- the goal of which was to support both the child and the mother. She is passionate about destigmatizing mental health, and improving access to services.
